Our no-commitment tryouts are designed to gauge overall skill level and to place your athlete with a team that will provide for optimal success.
Cost - $20
**Returning Pure Energy athletes DO NOT pay for tryouts**
Tryout format
Individual tryouts will take place on Saturday, July 16th (see times below).
Team tryouts: Following the individual tryout session, athletes will be contacted (by Sunday 7/17) for team tryouts, where they'll be matched up with players of similar skill level. Team tryouts will take place between Monday, 7/18 through Thursday, 7/21.
**Any groups looking to join PureEnergy as a complete team may schedule a full-team tryout by contacting Steve Patella at 954-579-1751 anytime before 7/11/22.**

Developmental - Any player new to the sport of volleyball who is looking for a competitive, structured high energy environment. All athletes will be part of a team of no more than 12 players. Practices will be twice a week (one weekday & one weekend). Tournaments are roughly once a month on Sundays, beginning January 2023.
Intermediate/advanced - Players who have played at least one season (club or school) who are looking for a competitive, structured high energy environment. All athletes will be part of a team of no more than 10 players. Practices will be twice a week (one weekday & one weekend). Tournaments are roughly once a month on Saturdays, beginning January 2023. Teams will have the opportunity to participate in two-2-day local (AAU / USAV) tournaments, as well as competing at the AAU Nationals (Orlando) in June.
Elite - These teams will be HIGHLY selective. Teams are reserved for athletes who are singularly driven to pursue volleyball at the collegiate level. Coaches will push athletes to be the very best they can be. A commitment on and off the court through training, fitness and diet will be expected. These teams will participate exclusively in 8 AAU/ USAV 2 day events and attend AAU Nationals in June. Practices will be 3 times per week.

13U: DOB July 2009 - June 2010
14U: DOB July 2008 - June 2009
15U: DOB July 2007 - June 2008

REGISTRATION CHECKLIST

Step 2
AAU MEMBERSHIP
An AAU Membership is required to participate in all AAU licensed events. Make sure to enter our team code (W343DC) to register under Pure Energy Volleyball Club. AAU membership consists of athletic participation for ages as defined by AAU youth sport rules.
